Designing with learners, not assumptions.

Hoon Maeng Jeong Eum began as an idea for independent Korean Braille learning. Listening at the Daegu Braille Library and testing with 20 learners changed both the interface and the way I understood accessibility.

I built a multimodal iOS experience for independent Korean Braille learning through touch, sound, haptics, and VoiceOver, then revised the interface around evidence from learners rather than my original assumptions.

  2. 02 · User testingPilot the experience with 20 learners at the Daegu Braille Library.
  3. 03 · Unexpected problemObserve where my idea of an accessible interface did not match how learners actually navigated it.
  4. 04 · RedesignRevise touch targets, feedback, navigation, and self-paced lesson flows.
  5. 05 · What changedThe project became a learning tool shaped by evidence from learners, then shipped on the App Store.
